We have Done
Livelihood
SEEDS has identified few artisans, women and youth, illiterate/school drop-out adolescents . They have been imparted life skills and vocational skills in order to check migration as well as to save them from the tentacles of extremist outfits. Utilizing nature’s bounties, these forest dwelle$ have now become creato$ of beautiful gift items. Marketing their art pieces would change their lives.
Education
have been identified to research on different subjects related to the tribal and local culture, livelihood options and implementation of government schemes in villages. Five booklets, documented by fellows were printed. The dissemination of the findings are done for the community through workshops held in the villages.
Women's Empowerment
Their total saving stands at nearly $. 21 lacs. About 10% of the savings are being held as cash in hand while 25% is being used for internal loaning for a variety of purposes. We have assisted them through training in nuances of group management and collective action.The spread effect of existing groups has resulted in formation of 11 women’s groups outside the work area of SEEDS.
